Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking to practice to their full scope with a varied client base which includes hospital, long-term care, community and primary care. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating Occupational Therapy services within the Chapleau community both in hospital and in the community involving both long-term care and acute care. Rehabilitation services include but are not limited to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and activation.

Qualifications

·         Masters or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy (MHSc(OT), BHSc(OT) or BSc(OT) in a program approved by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapist (CAOT).

·         Must be registered in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), and membership with CAOT and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapist (OSOT)

·         Knowledge and experience with the gerontology population, adults with developmental delays, environmental assessments and assistive devices prescription preferred.

·         French Language Service Designation: Bilingualism, English and French, is required. In accordance with the French Language Services Plan, if no bilingual candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications, unilingual candidates may be considered.
