Full-Time (Monday-Friday)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Provide automotive services by performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely and according to Ford’s quality and time standards

·         Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults

·         Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment

·         Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups

·         Communicate professionally with customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements

·         Comply with Ford and dealership’s safety and environmental programs and practices

·         Will be required to complete ongoing Ford module training

Qualifications:

·         High School degree or equivalent preferred

·         Completion of a four-year automotive service technician apprenticeship program or third year apprentice may be considered

·         Trade certification for automotive service technicians an asset. Certification preferred in one or more of the following areas:

·         Electrical or Electronic Systems, Brakes, heating and Air Conditioning, Suspension and Steering, Manual Drive Train and Axles, Automatic Transmission and Transaxle, Engine Performance, Engine Repair

·         Driver’s license (Class G minimum)

·         Dealership experience is an asset

·         Clear drivers abstract is an asset

·         Ford Motor company trained preferred

·         Excellent time management and communication skills

·         Physical capability to complete all duties
