Temporary Full-Time Intervention Worker
Contract • Chapleau Region
Maternity Leave Replacement expected to begin May 2019. Hourly rate per ONA Allied Collective Agreement.
The Intervention Worker is to provide a range of assessment, case management and support services, crisis intervention, assistance and counseling to individuals experiencing personal and social problems, educational and referral services, and health promotion services in the form of educational and primary prevention activities.
Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers is required
Experience working in the addiction field and mental health field
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an asset
Strong teamwork, planning, organization and time management skills
A valid Ontario Driver’s license and own transportation
Experience with computers, Windows and Microsoft Office programs
